Legs and Core Conditioning: This class is a great, effective workout targeting the core and lower body. Be prepared for a workout! Walk ins welcome, $10 per class or 8 for $72.
Nia: Nia, a holistic body-mind workout practice, is a wonderful way to explore and enhance the body, mind, emotions and spirit. Inspired by the Martial Arts, Dance Arts and Healing Arts, Nia offers an excellent cardiovascular fitness program as well as self-healing tools. Nia is done barefoot to easy-to-follow choreographies to world music. This class will improve stability, mobility, strength, flexibility and agility leaving you energized, relaxed and happy! Belly Dance Technique and Abs : This is a great class for beginners. We will learn basic technique, shimmies begin to put moves together, and end with abdominal strengthening. Pay each class or purchase card, 8 classes for $72. Beginner Choreography : This class is also geared towards beginners. We will learn proper technique while learning a dance also giving the brain a workout! The class runs in 6-week blocks. Please register with Rona. Intermediate/Advanced: This class is for individuals with some belly dance experience. It accommodates students who are a little more serious about dancing, perhaps performing and for those who just want more of a challenge. The class runs in 6-week blocks. Please register with Rona.
Yoga/ Pilates mix: This class is for those who would like to look like a dancer! We will work on flexibility, core strength, posture, coordination and end with a brief meditation. Pay each class or purchase card, 8 classes for $72.
All level Egyptian Belly Dance Technique: In this fun fast paced class we will focus on building strong Belly Dance tecnique that can be applied to Egyptian, Turkish, Tribal and Fusion styles. Perfect your isolations and footwork, strengthen your foundation, learn breath work and musicality. Drop in $12 per class. Classes start Sept.23rd.
Special Topics Belly Dance: Want to learn how to swing a cane? Play the finger cymbals? Dance a Muwasha? Improvise like a pro? In this class, we will focus on specific styles of Oriental and Folkloric dance from Egypt to the Gulf. Sign up for the entire 4- week series, or just drop in! September and October will focus on Saidi technique, feeling and choreography. Drop in $12 per class or $40 for the series. Classes start Sept.25th. Belly Dance Tango Fusion: This class combines belly dance with a little funk and alot of spice! In 6 weeks we learn basic technique along with the latest choreography by Rona. Bollywood: Bollywood is becoming more and more popular with its high energy mix of Indian folk and pop dancing of the West. I will be teaching a dance based on the movie Main Hoon Na. Ashtanga: Ashtanga Yoga is a traditional style of Hatha Yoga. The postures are connected together to create a flowing sttle.
